How It Started
Honestly? We needed a windshield replaced and Safelite wanted a ridiculous amount for it. Like most people, we figured they were the only option. Turns out they're not - not even close.
Our dad has been in auto glass for over 15 years - proper AGSC-certified, OEM-trained, the whole deal. He saw us getting quoted crazy prices and basically said, "I'll just show you how to do it." So he did. We trained under him hands-on until we knew the trade inside and out - proper urethane primers, correct cure times, FMVSS-compliant installation methods, how to work around ADAS cameras and rain sensors without triggering faults. Not a weekend crash course. Real training from someone who's done thousands of installs.
